I Hear You. I Believe in You. I Am Here For You.

Don’t tell her what she’s doing is easy.

When we tell her it is easy, when we insist she is fine, we invalidate her struggle, her effort, her existence.

It may look easy but it does not feel easy. How it looks matters not.

Help her not to make it harder than it is.

Show her grace when she is hard on herself.

Do not compare her life to your own or anyone elses.

We will never break the cycle by pointing out who has it worse, who has it better.

I hear you.

I believe in you.

I am here for you.

Speak these words and watch her rise. Watch her gather her skirts and her wits and climb.

Our compassion does not enable her, it empowers her.

I hear you.

I believe in you.

I am here for you.

Being seen is the sunlight that feeds a hungry soul.

Being heard is the water that makes that soul grow.

Being accepted just as we are is all the rich soil we need to plant our roots and bloom.
