Purpose and Fear

I’m beginning to think we only have two internal drivers.

Purpose.

And fear.

I think when love shows up, it is purpose that drives it.

I think when hate shows up, it is always, always, always fear beneath those layers.

I think we can know what is driving us at any particular moment because…

Fear says NO.

While purpose says yes.

Fear sinks below.

While purpose rises above.

Fear holds on.

While purpose forgives.

Fear keeps us blinded.

While purpose gives thanks.

Fear accuses.

While purpose assumes the best.

Fear takes.

Purpose gives.

Fear grips.

Purpose surrenders.

Fear consumes.

Purpose creates.

Fear robs us of our peace.

Purpose gives peace.

Fear hides.

Purpose can stand to be seen.

Fear makes life feel meaningless.

While purpose gives meaning.

Fear is a thief and a liar.

Purpose only tells the truth.

I think purpose takes courage. So much courage.

I think it is purpose that will save us in the end.
